17 Aug Resettlement of persons with disabilities to the seventh housing facility for supported living in the Municipality of Demir Kapija, within the TIMOR project
On August 16, 2022, within the project “Together for introduction of more opportunities and respect – TIMOR“, 5 people with disabilities were resettled from the Special Institute Demir Kapija to a housing unit for supported living in Demir Kapija.
This home represents the 7th housing unit for supported living established within the project TIMOR and is part of the 10 small group homes provided in the deinstitutionalization process of the project. The housing unit will be managed by the Special Institute Demir Kapija, as a provider of the service – living with support in the community for people with disabilities, where people will receive 24-hour care and attention, as well as inclusion in all aspects of social life.
The project “Together for introduction of more opportunities and respect – TIMOR“ aims to enable the implementation of the process of deinstitutionalization of persons with disabilities from residential institutions to housing units for supported living in the community, through the provision of innovative social services.
The project is financed by the European Union and is implemented within the EU Action Program to support education, employment and social policy, IPA II 2017.
The project is implemented in a consortium with:
