19 May Preparation of the Monograph “Together for introduction of more opportunities and respect – TIMOR
On 13.05.2022 Dr. Natasha Stanojkovska Trajkovska, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje at the Institute for Special Education and Rehabilitation, together with the project manager of the project TIMOR made a working visit to all the housing units established by the project.
Dr. N. Stanojkoska Trajkovska is one of the experts hired by the project team of the TIMOR project to prepare the Monograph “Together for the introduction of more opportunities and respect – TIMOR”. The housing units for supported living that were visited are in a functional phase and in a phase of reconstruction. They are located in the municipalities of Demir Kapija, Negotino, Gradsko and Veles.
The monograph “Together for the introduction of more opportunities and respect – TIMOR”, will be ready to contribute to the successful implementation of the deinstitutionalization process and share a positive experience for successful resettlement of persons with disabilities in the community. The purpose of preparing the Monograph is also to transfer the acquired knowledge and experience from the process of deinstitutionalization to the students in the field, social workers and all relevant stakeholders.
During the visit, working meetings were held with representatives of the social service provider SI Demir Kapija (SIDK) and the Association of Persons with Cerebral Palsy and Other Disabilities Veles from Veles (APCPOD) from Veles.
The preparation of the Monograph is a support for the process of deinstitutionalization within the EU social sector. This document will be available in digital and printed form and will be submitted to the MLSP for further action in the field of deinstitutionalization.
