New Year’s visit of the opened housing units within the project TIMOR

The team of the project “Together for introduction of more opportunities and respect” – TIMOR, within yesterday, honoring the upcoming festive period, visited the users resettled in the nine housing units with community-based supported living in Bashino Selo, Veles, Gradsko, Negotino and Demir Kapija.
In all housing units we were warmly welcomed with decorated Christmas trees and New Year’s decorations handmade by the users and the personal of the housing units. Although all faces on the photos are blurred, their body language shows the energy, joy and excitement of all 45 users which will welcome the New Year in their warm home.
The project team brought New Year gifts, had a conversation with the assistants and coordinators in the housing units about the adaptation of the users, their needs in the upcoming period and the extension of the collaboration with the Special Institute Demir Kapija and Association of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities – Veles, as service givers in the project’s opened housing units.
These happy faces make us proud of the project results, give us motivation and remind us to continue working on inclusion of the most vulnerable citizens in social activities and the need for upgrading the services and continuation of the process of deinstitutionalization in the upcoming period.
The project is financed by the European Union and is implemented within the EU Action Program to support education, employment and social policy, IPA II 2017 with duration of 36 months.

The project is implemented in a consortium with:
• Association of special educators and rehabilitators of the Republic of North Macedonia;
• Special Institute Demir Kapija
• Municipality of Demir Kapija
• Loza Foundation, Sweden
