17 Mar CA CeProSARD in cooperation with the institutions – Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy of the Republic of North Macedonia (MAFWE of RNM) for support of social entrepreneurship for sustainable rural development
On March 16, 2022, Mr. Abdulshyqyr Abedini, Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy of the Republic of North Macedonia (MAFWE of RNM), held a working meeting with the project team of the project “Support to Social Enterprises by following the principle – Leave no one behind” implemented by the Citizens’ Association – Center for Promotion of Sustainable Agricultural Practices and Rural Development – CeProSARD. The meeting was held at the premises of the MAFWE of RNM.
At the meeting, the representatives of CA CeProSARD presented the implemented activities of the association so far and the activities of the current project “Support to Social Enterprises by following the principle – Leave no one behind“. The project is funded by the European Union.
The support of the social enterprises through the current project is an opportunity for sustainable socio-economic development in the rural parts of our country. The project should contribute to cooperation between institutions, municipalities, social enterprises and civil society, in developing green economic growth, environmental protection and improving social services in rural areas.
Ms. Svetlana Petrovska, Executive Director of CA CeProSARD expressed her gratitude to the Deputy Minister Mr. Abdulshyqyr Abedini, for the support for successful implementation of the project and the desire for active cooperation in involving the business sector in rural areas working in primary and secondary processing of agricultural products.
The possibilities for future cooperation of MAFWE with the civil sector were discussed at the meeting, where the representatives of ZG CeProSARD emphasized the development and cooperation in the field of joint implementation of projects financed by IPA funds. Special emphasis was placed on cooperation in the field of rural development, improving energy efficiency and utilization of renewable energy sources in agricultural holdings in the sector of secondary processing of agricultural products, environmental protection and support of social enterprises through the development of generally useful projects. and ensuring the development and sustainability of social businesses.
