06 Mar A network for integrated energy management is established in the Polog Planning Region (PPR) through the project PologEnergyNet
CeProSARD’s team initiated the establishment of the Regional Network for Integrated Energy Management within the project PologEnergyNet.
On 6 March in The Center for Development of Polog Planning Region, was formed a regional network for integrated energy management. The network has an informal and voluntary form, and it’s consisted of representatives from LGUs, NGOs in the field of environmental protection, the business community, educational institutions and energy auditors. 28 representatives attended the event. This network promotes the importance and the necessity of integrated energy management in order to raise public awareness for this kind of system.
The network activities refer to defining the procedures and steps for implementing the program for energy efficiency in the municipalities in the Polog Planning Region. To facilitate the educational and promotional activities of the network an Integrated Energy Management Guide is made.
After completion of the project, the network is expected to continue with the creation of new pilot projects in the field of Integrated Energy Management which will allow each municipality in the Polog Planning Region to develop an action plan for sustainable energy development SEAP. The existence and functioning of this body will contribute and ease the full implementation of the system of integrated energy management which is in accordance with environmental standards in the EU.
