Representatives from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Macedonia and the CeProSARD team at the workshop “Buildings with near-zero energy“ and at the Seminar “Smart, Sustainable Cities“ in Nicosia – Cyprus

Within the project ZeNH Balkan – Towards Zero energy Hospitals in the Balkan Region on May 9, May 10 and May 11, 2018, a workshop was held on the topic “Buildings with near-zero energy“ and a seminar on “Smart, Sustainable Cities“.

The workshop and the seminar were attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Macedonia and representatives from the CeProSARD team. The event is organized by the project partner of The Cyprus Institute Ltd from Cyprus.

Participants of the event are the organizations that implement the project, such as: leader partner of the project – Democritus University of Thrace, representatives from partner organizations CeProSARD; Albaforest – Center for Forest Studies and Consulting from Albania; Sofia Energy Center Ltd from Bulgaria and The Cyprus Institute Ltd from Cyprus, representatives of the Ministries of Health, institutes and concerned organizations working in the field of energy efficiency from the countries in which the project is implemented.

The general conclusion of the event is that the key actors will jointly act in implementing the project activities to facilitate the implementation of the revised Energy Performance of Buildings (EPBD) Directive by defining the characteristics and standards for zero energy hospitals in the region Southern Balkans.
