21 Dec Information Event held in Municipality of Medvedja, Serbia for promotion of the project “Green Energy – Fostering social entrepreneurship by establishing pilot energy cooperatives in the cross-border region“
On December 21, 2023, in the municipal hall of the municipality of Medveda, Serbia, we held the Informational Event within the framework of the project “Green Energy – Fostering social entrepreneurship by establishing pilot energy cooperatives in the cross-border region“ funded by the European Union, represented by the Ministry of Finance Of Republic of Serbia, Department for Contracting and Financing of EU Funded Programmes – CFCU.
At the event, speeches were given by the mayor of the municipality of Butel – Mr. Darko Kostovski, the president of the temporary body of the Municipality of Medveda – Mr. Dragan Kulic, and the project manager of the Green Energy project – Tea Teveva. In their addressing, they all emphasized the importance of joint collaboration and development of the cross-border region through implementation of smart and sustainable approaches to increase capacities and knowledge of the relevant target group/stakeholders through tailor-made trainings, workshops and share of EU experience and know-how best practices, as well as implementation of innovative approaches to establish new energy cooperatives in the cross-border region and creation of new employments of young and long-term unemployed persons.
The participants were acquainted with the goals and activities of the project, as well as the expected results that the project team is working towards until October 2024.
