30 Aug ZG CeProSARD with its representatives participated in a panel discussion on Energy Poverty organized by Think-tank “Analitika“
Mrs. Sanja Trpkovska, a graduate lawyer in international law and international relations, from ZG CeProSARD participated in the panel discussion with the aim of presenting the “Manual for understanding and dealing with energy poverty in Macedonia“.
Panelists participating in the panel discussion emphasized that energy poverty should be a central focus during our energy transition.
Mrs. Sanja Trpkovska emphasized that energy efficiency affects the reduction of energy poverty, but it is not enough by itself. We must have energy efficient homes, but poor people cannot afford it. The offered measures in the form of subsidies are not enough to deal with this problem, especially due to the fact that poor citizens always lag behind when using these measures effectively.
