The purpose of the contract is to contribute to the implementation of the RECONOMY program, aiming at bringing sustainable, inclusive and green economic growth; generate additional income and employment opportunities for the youth, women and most disadvantaged groups.
The energy crisis pushed households, investors and companies in Western Balkans to installing high-performance equipment such as heat pumps, PV systems and solar thermal collectors. Shortage of skilled workforce for green energy transition of the building sector, especially for installation of energy efficient equipment and services for green building processes is obstructing companies from growing sustainably and employing new workers. Demand for skilled workers with skills for implementing energy efficiency and green building practices is increasing through the whole value chain of construction sector in the Western Balkans’ countries. However, the demand is not met by supply from the side of educational institutions, because of no viable publicly recognized schemes for guaranteeing quality of obtained skills. Intervention addresses the problem of shortage of qualified workers for EE construction and renovation by raising awareness, providing trainings for green skills and offering income and jobs opportunities for women and youth. Intervention will support the sector’s growth and foster its development in Western Balkan.
RECONOMY is a regional inclusive and green economic development program of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation in partnership with CeProSARD and others in the Eastern Partnership and the Western Balkan regions.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”6388,6386,6384,6382,6380,6378,6376,6374″ img_size=”full” column_number=”4″ grayscale=”no” images_space=”gallery_with_space”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
