CA CeProSARD in cooperation with the institutions – Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of North Macedonia (MAFWE of RNM)

Today on 26.07.2019 Mr. Trajan Dimkovski, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of North Macedonia (MAFWE of RNM) held a working meeting with the team of the Citizens` Association – Center for Promotion of Sustainable Agricultural Practices and Rural Development – CeProSARD, in the premises of MAFWE.

The meeting discussed the activities undertaken by CA CeSroSARD in the field of agriculture and rural development, in particular the implementation and final activities of the project “Capacity Building for Sustainable Development of Local Action Groups – LAG in EU Integration Processes“ – BUILDLAG, financed by the European Union through the CFCD, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of North Macedonia. The project implemented by CeProSARD in cooperation with Local Action Group Una from Croatia and the Association of Young Farmers Asaja Granada from Spain.

Ms. Svetlana Petrovska, Executive Director of CA CeProSARD expressed gratitude to the Minister for the support and active role in the process of establishing an institutional framework for implementation of the project activities by the involved MAFWE representatives and submitted them the “Recommendations for the implementation of the LEADER approach in the Republic of North Macedonia“ received from experts engaged by partner organizations from Croatia and Spain. At the same time, Ms. Svetlana Petrovska expressed gratitude for the cooperation so far and to the previous Minister Ljupco Nikolovski

The meeting discussed the possibilities for future cooperation of the MAFWE with the civil sector, with the representatives of CA CeProSARD emphasizing the development and cooperation in the field of joint implementation of projects financed by IPA funds. Particular emphasis was placed on the cooperation in the field of improvement of energy efficiency and utilization of renewable energy sources in agricultural holdings, in the sector of secondary processing of agricultural products, creation of policies in the field of EE and RES in agriculture (Guidelines for Energy Efficiency, production and use of energy from renewable sources in agriculture
